What customers say?

“ Nice cafe in the middle of Elwood. Coffee was good and service good. Beware however. ‘Shrinkflation’ has struck badly here. Small coffee was literally macchiato size and Almond Croissant was half the size you would expect. $13.60 for a small (small) coffee and a mini croissant is expensive. Otherwise good. ”

“ So refreshing to be at a cafe with great service (to your table!), warm, friendly staff and fresh, tasty food. Really generous portions and super hot coffee. If you’re sick of QR codes and stingy portions, come here! The environment was also light and modern and we were welcome to sit on second coffees for as long as we like. We will be back ”

“ Walk in for 2 on a Sunday - it was packed at 10:30-11ish! We found a spot but there was definitely a bit of a wait for others who wanted to dine in for a brunch. The menu is different now to the recent uploads - my friend and I ordered mango smoothies and coffees. I had their sweet potato or pumpkin waffles dish, and added smoked salmon. My mate had the big breaky. Everything was good - very fresh and serving size is super generous. The mango smoothie is to die for. So yum without being too sweet. Very fresh and tart. We ended our meal with a sweet dessert - we ordered a raspberry and white chocolate muffin to share and asked for ice cream on the side. It tasted really nice though it might have been better slightly warmed with up. They don’t have many sweet options on the menu, but they do have a cabinet with sweets and pastries, and also sandwiches/subs. We were there for sometime about 10:30 to 1ish and we weren’t asked to leave at any point - it started to slow down past 12:30 so they didn’t feel the need to ask us to leave I guess. Staff were really friendly and attentive and always had smiles on their faces Really enjoyed the vibe and menu. If I’m around I’d revisit. Also - Just a heads up- Parking is terrible around here - it’s a busy street with shops and cafes everywhere so not a surprise. Ended up parking in a street 7 mins walk from the cafe. ”

“ This was our first time coming here and it was a really fantastic brunch. Extremely tasty food, good/great portion size depending on the dish. Coffees came and quick and were very good. The only only only reason I cannot give it a perfect 5* is simply because of the price. $130 for 4 people, 1 dish and 1 coffee each. ”

“ Brunch cafe that seems to be popular amongst the locals. The decor is great with a mini potted garden in the middle of the cafe. The crispy Fritters and the chicken bang are quite average. Fritters can get dry after a while as it lacks some sauces to tie the whole dish. The waffle on the chicken bang is not as crispy as I thought and the kimchi butter is lacking that acidity that could cut the sweetness from the dish. Kids Chicken tenders are surprisingly decent. Food - 5 Service - 7 Vibe - 7 Price - $$ ”

“ Dropped into Arlo Café and tried a mix of dishes, the Turkish eggs and the chicken burger. The burger stood out as the highlight: tasty, well-balanced, and with a unique twist that made it memorable. The Turkish eggs, on the other hand, were a bit of a let-down. While the flavours were pleasant, the portion was very small and it felt like it was missing that extra spark to make it special. On the drinks side, the coffee was fine and the turmeric latte was extremely light on the turmeric, drinkable, but lacking in punch. Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience, but nothing that really makes me want to rush back. ”

“ Burgers were soo crispy and juicy. Perfect with my Turmeric Tea. The Eggs Benny, with the hollandaise sauce was just legendary! The cafe was packed! We were lucky to get a table. ”

“ Stopped by this lovely café in Elwood and was seriously impressed. I had the salmon and corn gazpacho — it was absolutely beautiful. So tasty, really different from the usual brunch stuff, and surprisingly filling too. Loved the mix of fresh flavours — definitely something I’d come back for. My hubby had the bacon benny and gave it a big thumbs up. Eggs were cooked just right and the bacon had that proper crunch without being overdone. Classic done well. Our little one had the crumbed chicken tenders and smashed the whole plate. They were golden and crispy, not greasy, and actually looked and tasted like proper food. Staff were warm and the whole place had a nice, relaxed feel. A real gem in Elwood — we’ll be back for sure. ”
